Molière's The Miser (L'Avare) at Théâtre Le Ranelagh

Through this masterpiece with such modern resonance, Molière "amuses himself with the folly of men." He blends romantic intrigues with family adventures and makes his audience laugh with his grotesque portrait of the tyrannical miser. Tosca at Opéra Bastille
Until 18 April 2026
Tosca, an opera by Giacomo Puccini, is set in Rome during a period of intense political repression. The painter Mario Cavaradossi helps a political prisoner, Angelotti, to escape from the police. But the sinister Baron Scarpia, chief of police, is on his trail. He manipulates the famous singer Floria Tosca, Cavaradossi’s lover, driving her into jealousy and despair. Caught between love, betrayal and tyranny, Tosca must make an impossible choice to save the man she loves. As the tension rises, passion and violence clash in a tragic story of power, sacrifice and fate.

- About Lambada by Collectif Ès , founded in 2011 in Lyon, has been exploring the boundary between contemporary dance and popular culture since its inception, with a playful, critical, and deeply collective spirit. (2 – 4 April 2026)
- May B by Maguy Marin marks a turning point in contemporary dance-theatre which is inspired by the works of Samuel Beckett, the piece features ten performers, their faces covered in white clay, dressed in loose tunics, moving with expressionist and ritualistic gestures. (12 April 2026)

- Cyrano de Bergerac: Rostand’s timeless tale of unrequited love, inner beauty and the power of poetry. (Until 29 April 2026)*
- The Lesson portrays a surreal encounter between a tyrannical professor and a captive pupil: a delightfully eccentric and witty production. Along with The Bald Soprano, this piece has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest running play ever. (All year round)*
- Valjean ! Inspired by Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, this acclaimed production – hailed in Paris and Avignon for the past ten years – returns today in a fully reimagined version, more intimate and more intense than ever. (1 April – 25 July 2026)*
- The Bald Soprano: Ionesco’s avant-garde drama, is funny, absurd and surreal. Along with The Lesson, this piece has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest running theatre show ever. (All year round)*
