Following the measures announced by French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, October 14th, the world of performing arts has taken another hard hit. Parisian theatres had to react quickly and adapt their shows schedule to the 9 p.m. curfew which is in effect until November 29th. The great news is that many venues managed to change their shows schedule and can’t wait to welcome you as their guests! So, without further ado, we invite you to discover the shows which are curfew-friendly and guarantee you to be home before 9 p.m.
Classic Plays at Théâtre Ranelagh
At 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays
For many years the Ranelagh Theatre has been pleasing us with astonishing staging of classical French plays. Their shows and musical performances highlight the acoustics of this beautiful French-style auditorium. This time the Ranelagh Theatre is welcoming spectators to present the greatest classics of French theatre such as Cyrano de Bergerac, Molière's Dom Juan and Molière's The Miser.
You may find all the curfew-friendly dates of the Ranelagh Theater captivating shows until November 29th:
- Cyrano de Bergerac will be staged at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th
- Molière's play Dom Juan will be staged at 2 p.m. on Saturdays October 24th and November 28th
- Molière's other masterpiece, The Miser, will be staged at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14th
Ionesco plays at Théâtre de la Huchette
Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m.
The Bald Soprano and The Lesson will continue to be performed in the legendary Théâtre de la Huchette every Saturday and Sunday throughout November. Both plays were first introduced by Eugene Ionesco in the 1950’s and quickly became popular. What makes them so special? There are still many disputes behind the meaning of those plays. The best way to find out is to see the show through your own perception and make yourself familiar with the concept of the “Theatre of the Absurd”. You can book both Ionesco’s masterpiece plays in a single package.
Ballets and Classical Music Concerts at the Opéra Garnier
Evening performances will be at 6 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.
To our greatest pleasure, the legendary Opéra Garnier offers us a busy season this autumn! You can enjoy elegant dance performances such as Rudolf Nureyev, a show featuring the Russian choreographer's most beautiful solos and duets, at 6.30 p.m. until October 30th.
You will also be able to discover creations by Contemporary Choreographers from November 6th to 28th at 6 p.m., as well as Chamber Music Concerts on Saturday October 31st and Sundays November 8th, 15th and 22nd at 5 p.m. We also invite you to discover the 'Etoiles' Dancers of the National Ballet of Paris, the Paris Orchestra and many other shows on the glorious stage of the Palais Garnier in the afternoon and early evening!
Oh My God She's Parisian Second Episode

Hilarious second episode of Oh My God She's Parisian is here. In this show 100% in English, Julie Collas makes fun of the latest Parisian trends related to the global pandemic. This one-of-a-kind experience is a mix of stand-up, singing, improvisation and mime. Julie started her own show called Oh My God She's Parisian almost three years ago and since then more than 18 000 people from all over the world saw it. Still, every show is unique and elaborates on up-to-date themes.
How to Become a Parisian in One Hour
Starting November 21st at 7 p.m.
This stand-up comedy teaches you all the funny insights about the Parisian way of life. Over the last few years, many shows decided challenged French tradition of language barrier by offering their shows in English. Olivier Giraud can be considered as one of the pioneers of the Anglo-Saxon’s theatrical movement in Paris. Giraud, a former waiter, chef and hotel manager from the West Palm Beach, decided to follow his dream to become a comedian and created his own show called How to Become a Parisian in One Hour. Today it is one of the funniest Parisian shows!
Sainte-Chapelle Concert Series

Sainte-Chapelle Concert Series bonds the beauty of classical music and Gothic architecture together. Have you ever enjoyed a concert inside of an exquisite royal chapel with the largest stained glass in Paris? Now it is a perfect time to do so. The concerts are performed at 6 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. The concert programme varies and each recital lasts around 1 hour.

The Sunday Morning Concerts will be performed on the stage of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées every Sunday at 11 a.m. starting from November 1st. What can be better than starting your day with the beautiful sound of classical music? Musicians from countries such as Iceland, France, Norway, and Russia will play magnificent solos and quartet pieces composed by legendary masters such as Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy, Fauré, Poulenc and Brahms.

On Saturdays and Sundays afternoons and early evenings
Two of Parisian cabaret houses are ready to offer their shows in a curfew compatible time: the Crazy Horse is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Cabaret Burlesque is open every evening of Saturday at 7:15 p.m. Both houses are rooted in the very quintessence of the cabaret movement, so if you cannot choose which one to attend just book both shows!
