ABOUT

History and Fun Facts about the Palais des Congrès

Just a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées, the Palais des Congrès is a venue that has played host to many incredible shows over the years.
Bob Dylan, Donna Summer, Mariah Carey, Elton John, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Alicia Keys, and David Copperfield are just some of the famous faces that have graced its fabled stage. Since its inauguration in 1974, it has become a must-see destination in Paris for cultural and artistic events.

One of the more memorable performances to take place at the Palais des Congrès is undoubtedly the musical Notre Dame de Paris. This epic musical, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, was first presented on the Palais stage in September 1998. Since its rip-roaring premiere, it has enjoyed worldwide success, having been performed in many countries and translated into a variety of languages.
