Our favourite pastime is going to the theatre, and it feels particularly special this summer as it’s been so long since we’ve done so. We’re also fans of making an evening of a spectacle, and combining seeing a show with dinner, or even a simple spritz, seems to make the experience all the more memorable. It’s no secret that Paris is not short of restaurants and bars that enable us to experience the perfect dinner and show combo. Today, we’ve rounded up our favourite places for a nibble before, or after a show!

A romantic cruise along The Seine

There’s nothing like a dreamy boat trip along The Seine to truly experience the romance that Paris has to offer. Another way of experiencing the magic of Parisian culture is by seeing a cabaret show. The Crazy Horse Cabaret is one of Paris’ most well-loved evening experiences, and it’s certainly one you don’t want to miss when you’re visiting the city. Why not combine the two for a perfect evening of Parisian magic? If you book tickets through the Theatre in Paris box office, you’ll have access to our numerous Crazy Horse package deals. This summer, why not try your hand at a dinner cruise before the show? You’ll have the chance to enjoy a three-course meal on one of Europe’s most iconic rivers. If you’re more of a sweet tooth, we also offer a dinner and show experience at Ladurée on the Champs-Elysées, yet another way to immerse yourself fully in Parisian culinary culture. There are a plethora of ways to truly make an evening out of seeing the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris. Check out our website for more details.

Pastry and a show

What could be better than a pastry and show package? Au Petit Versailles du Marais is one of our favourite spots in the city to have a quick nibble before we see a show! This Parisian gem is conveniently located a stone’s throw away from one of our partner theatres, Théâtre du Châtelet, a beautiful venue with an intriguing history. If you’re feeling inspired to see a show at Châtelet, we can’t wait for 42nd Street to hit the stage in January 2021! Keep your eye out for tickets on our website.

A classic three-course dinner

The Sainte-Chappelle concert series, located in the enchanting Sainte-Chappelle in the heart of Paris, is an unmissable event to attend during your stay. We are proud to be partnering with the iconic venue and offering the opportunity for you to make the most of the experience with some of our show add-ons. With this, you’ll be able to enjoy a 3-course dinner of your choice at Les Fous De l’Ile, truly adding something special to your evening of entertainment. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, you’re also welcome to benefit from our champagne and show package, enabling you to have a complimentary glass of champagne at the restaurant l’Annexe, nestled right next to the doors of the Sainte-Chappelle. Enjoy your glass of bubbly before or after the concert.

In a similar vein, we also offer dinner and show packages for the Saint Germain des Prés Concert series, enabling you to have yet another three-course dinner at traditional Parisian bistro, Le Colvert. It’s the perfect complement to the beautiful Vivaldi, Schubert and Pachelbel masterpieces that this concert series has to offer.

Travel back in time

One of our favourite spots to dine in Paris is La Frégate, right in the heart of the city. In fact, the real Field Marshal d’Artagnan, the man on whom Dumas based The Three Muskateers, lived in this very building in the 1630s. The restaurant itself is certainly a sight for sore eyes, and you’ll truly feel that you’re being transported back in time when you step through its doors. It’s located on the left bank of the Seine, between the Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens and the Musée d’Orsay, meaning you’ll be right at the heart of the Parisian action. What’s more is that it’s a short walk through the city to get to Théâtre Édouard VII, yet another theatre with which we are proud to be partnering. Keep your eyes peeled for what shows they have to offer in the coming seasons!

Have lunch with a star

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with Oh My God She’s Parisian for this season of shows in Paris. If you book tickets through the Theatre in Paris box office, you’ll have the opportunity to have lunch with the hilarious Julie Collas herself, the brain and voice behind this gripping spectacle. You’ll have the opportunity to dine with Julie in her beautiful apartment, right on the cusp of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. She will be answering all your burning questions about Parisian life and her hit show as she cooks, what could be a more authentic Parisian experience? You’ll also meet her again on stage later, as well as having the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne. Enjoy!

Dine al fresco

Having a picnic in the park is one of our favourite ways to spend an afternoon in Paris and a unique way to have a lunch and show experience. Thanks to the myriad of beautiful parks dotted around the city, it couldn’t be easier to have a bite to eat in the open air. We even made a blog post detailing our favourite open spaces to have a meal before, or after, a show in Paris this summer.

Dinner on the Champs-Élysées

Nothing exclaims Paris more than the beautiful Champs-Elysées, and now you can enjoy a lavish dinner on the iconic rue with your loved ones, as a part of our Lido de Paris package. You’ll be transported into another world for the evening, so check out our website for more details, and enjoy!
