1. La Magie de Noël – Tuileries Garden
Right beside the Louvre, the Tuileries Christmas Market has grown into the biggest festive village inside Paris, stretching along the northern edge of the gardens between Rue des Pyramides and Place de la Concorde. Expect a mix of fairground rides, a Ferris wheel, an ice rink, and dozens of wooden chalets serving everything from tartiflette and crêpes to regional wines and chocolates, plus plenty of artisan gifts and décor.
Practical Information:
- Location: Jardin des Tuileries, 75001 Paris
- 2025 Dates: Roughly mid‑November 2025 to early January 2026
- Good to know: Make sure to go earlier in the day for fewer crowds and to actually see the stalls before hopping on the rides.
2. The Saint‑Ouen Flea Market (Puces) – Festive Edition
While not a classic Christmas market, the Saint‑Ouen Flea Market on the northern edge of Paris often adds a festive layer in December, with seasonal decorations, lights, and occasional special events across its various marchés. It’s the world’s largest concentration of antique and second‑hand dealers, spread over several hectares and a dozen sub‑markets, so you can hunt for vintage ornaments, antique tableware for your holiday table, or a one‑of‑a‑kind gift.
Practical Information:
- Location: Marché Dauphine, 138–140 Rue des Rosiers, 93400 Saint‑Ouen
- 2025 Dates: Open all year round from Saturday–Monday (around 10:00–18:00; some sections vary slightly)
- Good to know: This is more about treasure‑hunting than mulled‑wine chalets, so combine it with a traditional Christmas market elsewhere if you want the full festive village feel
3. Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas Market
For something more intimate and chic, head to Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés on the Left Bank, where a row of white chalets line Boulevard Saint‑Germain near the historic church. The Saint-Germain-des-Prés Marché de Noël is one of the longest-running Christmas markets in Paris. This market leans gourmet and artisanal: think fine chocolates, small‑batch spirits, handcrafted jewellery, leather goods, and quality winter accessories rather than mass‑produced souvenirs.
Practical Information:
- Location: Around Place Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés and along Boulevard Saint‑Germain, 75006 Paris
- 2025 Dates: Late November to New Year’s Day
- Good to know: Pair it with a hot chocolate at one of the classic cafés (Les Deux Magots, Café de Flore) for maximum Left Bank Christmas mood.
4. Christmas Village on the Esplanade at La Défense
Out in the business district but only a short ride on Line 1 or RER A, the La Défense Christmas Village is one of the largest in the Île‑de‑France region, with hundreds of chalets spread across the vast esplanade. You’ll find classic alpine‑style stalls selling decorations, regional specialities, and street food like raclette, pretzels, and hot chocolate, plus family‑friendly activities and occasional live entertainment.
Practical Information:
- Location: Parvis de la Défense, 92400 Paris La Défense
- 2025 Dates: 13 November–28 December 2025
- Good to know: Come at dusk for the most dramatic atmosphere, when the glass towers light up behind the wooden chalets.

5. Christmas Market at the Parc de la Villette
If you’re looking for another classically Parisian way to enjoy the festive season, you must pay a visit to the Christmas Market at the Parc de la Villette. Full of wooden chalets, artisanal gifts, festive gourmet treats, and of course twinkly lights, this market provides a cosy and wintry experience to enjoy this season!
Practical Information:
- Location: Fontaine aux Lions, Paris, 75019
- 2025 Dates: Throughout December
- Good to know: There are new artists and boutiques every day. Make sure to get a ticket in advance!
