Let's explore French writer Marc Levy, whose book If Only It Were True was transformed into a Hollywood hit
As they say….. Better late than never! This was definitely the case for French writer Marc Levy! Although his father, Raymond Levy, was also a known writer and later his sister, Lorraine Lévy became , Marc did not start out that way. He actually worked in the Red Cross and managed an architecture firm before he even wrote his first novel! But when he did write that first novel, If Only It Were True….. It was a smash hit! This book was translated into english as If Only It Were True If only it were true. This book was widely popular around the United States, so much so that the amazing film director Steven Spielberg got his hands the rights. Spielberg turned this novel into a box office hit as the movie Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. This was only the beginning of his career, he has now published a book almost every year since then! What a star!
