Virtuoso brothers Mathias and Julien are unequivocally captivating on the piano and utterly hypnotizing with their clownish, yet tasteful magic tricks. Leaving audiences awestruck, Les Virtuoses is like something you’d see on Broadway, but with a Parisian twist. Perfect for the whole family! This show is nothing short of mesmerizing, expertly mixing music, magic, and miming to create, what is perhaps, the most unique show you’ll ever see.

Résumé

These 2 pianists take the stage with one objective: to mix music, contemporary magic and Chaplinesque clowning. In a spectacle drawing on poetry and absurdity, Les Virtuoses brilliantly combine the virtuosity of a concert performer with the desire for fun and entertainment. With their four skillful but impish hands, they reimagine the classics with irrepressible brio.

But this duo doesn’t just play music, they enhance their whole performance with magical transformations. With the tips of their fingers, they touch the heartstrings of their audience, leading the way to a wonderful dream world. Dancing lights flutter on stage and twirl to the sound of their music, notes take off in a flurry of doves’ wings.

Endorsing the roles of musicians, actors, magicians, the irresistible Virtuoses achieve the seemingly impossible, intertwining wild imagination with seriousness, where great music comes alive. A celebration of music in wonderland, imbued by the enthusiasm of these two dynamic pianists.

It is great way to discover popular Parisian entertainment and you won’t miss a beat. Emotions are ensured to connect without the use of words, through a wide range of mimed expressions, music and magic. Les Virtuoses truly have created a patchwork of entertainment guaranteed to enchant from ages 7 to 77 and more!

Théâtre Fontaine

10 rue Pierre Fontaine, 75009 Paris

FAQ

It says this show has no subtitles. Is it still accessible to English speakers?

Les Virtuoses is a musical, magical miming show, which communicates through movement and gestures rather than with words. It’s different from what we usually offer (French plays with English subtitles) but is still true to Theatre in Paris’ promise: French entertainment accessible to non-French speakers. People from all over the world, no matter their language, can enjoy Les Virtuoses.
