Highlights: An American in Paris

Don’t miss this original performance of an American classic with a truly French twist! Academy Award-winning film An American in Paris was first adapted for the stage in 2014, at legendary Parisian theatre, the Théâtre du Châtelet. Now, in an all-new production, this magical musical is returning to the city it is set in and the theatre where it was born.

Story: An American in Paris

Set to a majestic score by George and Ira Gershwin, An American in Paris is the story of a love affair that blossoms in the bohemian heart of Paris. Having outlived the Second World War, American GI Jerry decides to stick it out in the City of Lights and give his dreams of becoming a painter a go. While pursuing his artistic ambitions, he finds himself falling helplessly in love with Lise, a beautiful Parisian who is also the muse of two of Jerry’s closest friends. The twists and turns of Jerry’s romantic fortunes will take him on a winding journey through all the most beautiful spots in Paris. So what better location could there be to enjoy the return of this internationally-renowned, 4-time Tony-Award winning musical?

Des grands classiques américains tels que Kiss Me, Kate, Singing in the Rain, and An American in Paris ont tous remporté un grand succès.
