Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge’s pillarbox red windmill appears at the foot of the Montmartre hill and symbolises a pure extravaganza of cabaret. It is known around the world as a most notorious cabaret house. Moulin Rouge was established in 1889 and changed the whole industry of cabaret forever. Many famous artists, including, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Mistinguett, were inspired by the glory of this place. Its signature performance is called cancan and still performed within the walls of this magnificent place. Moulin Rouge is currently preparing its reopening.
