Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? And the Molière this time goes to Atul Kumar! Atul Kumar is a director and actor and is the founder of a theatre group called The Company Theatre Workspace . Kumar's start in theatre was actually accidental! He was asked to replace an injured actor in his school’s production and now the rest is history!

From India to France, Kumar has brought his theatrical expertise to many different cultures. In Paris, he worked with Compagnie Philippe Genty (page officielle) . Kumar takes renowned plays and then often produces them in India . He has directed works like “The Lesson” by Eugene Ionesco, “The Jealous Husband” by Molière, and “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare. Kumar is most famous for his adaptation of "Twelfth Night" which takes place on the modern day streets of India. This production is translated into English from Hindi. This show has toured at Théâtre National de Nice and Shakespeare's Globe ! We love Kumar's unique takes on classic plays. Isn't it just beautiful how theatre can unite different cultures?
