HIGHLIGHTS: TROUBLE BY ANTONIN LEYMARIE

Trouble, a daring show created by Antonin Leymarie, is being presented at the Théâtre Silvia Monfort. This project fuses music, performance and technology to explore the themes of chaos and order, disruption and harmony.

Antonin Leymarie is a renowned percussionist with an experimental approach to music. In Trouble, he uses a variety of percussion instruments, electronic sounds and found objects to create a rich and diverse sonic palette. Music becomes a nuanced language for expressing the tensions and resolutions, the noises and silences, that characterise our everyday experiences and inner emotions.

The minimalist but effective staging emphasises the interaction between sound and space. Leymarie is accompanied by a number of musicians and performers, each contributing to the creation of a constantly evolving world of sound.

This promises to be a wonderful immersion in a show in which every vibration and every resonance contributes to the construction of a narrative.

Trouble is distinguished by its use of technology. Motion sensors and interactive devices allow the performers to manipulate the sounds in real time, adding an extra dimension of dynamism to the show.

The show is an intense and luminous reflection on the nature of disorder and complexity, transforming abstract concepts into tangible experiences. Trouble is an invitation to embrace uncertainty and find beauty in the unexpected.

But who was this famous Silvia Monfort, after whom a theatre was named?

Not surprisingly, she was a great French actress who was born in Paris in 1923 and died in 1991. She was a member of the French Resistance, an actress, a novelist, a director and a theatre director. Silvia Monfort was one of the greatest interpreters of Racine's Phèdre.

The theatre that bears her name, the Théâtre Silvia Monfort, built in the heart of Georges Brassens Park, is now a genuine cultural venue with a rich and varied programme, resolutely oriented towards new authors and theatrical forms. Fans of both French and international theatre come here to discover directorial nuggets, visual shows and plays created by companies from all over the world. Added to this are the two plus points of the Théâtre Silvia Monfort, which on sunny days make it a place not to be missed: its green terrace and cosy bar, a real meeting place like no other in Paris.

Originally set up in the Marais under the name Carré Thorigny, the Théâtre Silvia Monfort as we know it today moved into the former abattoirs of Vaugirard in 1979. The current buildings were inaugurated in 1992. Discover this venue dedicated to contemporary creation and discovery, with a varied programme focusing on the diversity of genres and cultures.
