JOB SUMMARY: Translation and Creative Writing Intern / Alternant (EN/FR)

Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week) with flexible scheduling

TheatreinParis.com is an award-winning French start-up company, serving as the only online ticketing platform in English and French with a mission to bring Parisian shows to international audiences (theatre plays, musicals, comedies, cabaret shows, operas, dance, jazz clubs, concerts). Since 2014, we have welcomed guests of more than 60 nationalities and counting.
To support the strong growth of our online sales and enhance our multilingual content, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual interested in translation, creative writing, and digital content. This internship is an opportunity to work for a fast-growing start-up in Paris with a highly international driven team where you can grow your skill set.
Required Profile
Your main missions will be the following:
- Translating and creating content for various platforms in English and/or French
- Writing descriptions and synopses of plays and shows
- Contributing to a monthly newsletter and blog articles (in French and English)
- Updating content on our website and ensuring that all published data and information is accurate
Necessary Soft-Skills
- Versatile, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable in a "start-up" environment
- Able to work independently
- A good sense of aesthetics
- Passionate about performing arts
Necessary Hard-Skills
- Perfect command of English and French is essential (strong preference for bilingual candidates - one of the languages must be your mother tongue)
- Bachelor's degree / L2 minimum or Master's degree (the missions and the degree of autonomy will evolve according to the skills)
- Proven ability in translation, creative writing and content creation
- Deep understanding of translation principles and strong grammatical skills in both languages
- A good knowledge of the Google suite
Bonus Skills
