Tickets will be online and available to purchase from the 28th May 2025.

Le Parc et Notre Dame de Paris, Opéra de Paris

Ballets in 2025/2026

Did you know?
France played a key role in the development of ballet as an art form. Although it originated in Renaissance Italy, the Florentine noblewoman Catherine de’ Medici popularised it in France when she became the Queen of France. A century on, King Louis XIV loved ballet and dance so much that he founded the Académie Royale de Danse! Ever since, French dancers have played a key role in the development and evolution of the form.

So, whether it’s classical, neoclassical or contemporary ballet you’re looking for, you’re in safe hands with Opera de Paris

  • OUR TOP THREE BALLETS

  • Le Parc at the Opera Palais Garnier
  • (3 – 25 February 2026)
  • This ballet, choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj in 1994 for l'Opéra de Paris itself, set to music by Mozart, follows a game of seduction inspired by the Grand Siècle and the Age of Enlightenment. However, Preljocaj breaks from tradition by introducing a contemporary soundtrack and a choreographic language of broken lines and sensual movements.

  • La Dame aux camélias at the Opera Palais Garnier
  • (5 – 23 May 2026)
  • Created in 1978 by John Neumeier, this ballet is inspired by the novel La Dame aux camélias by Alexandre Dumas. Set to music by Chopin, the ballet tells the story of Marguerite Gautier, a courtesan torn between her genuine love for her lover Armand Duval and societal pressure. The richness of the colors, costumes, and ribbons mirror the flood of emotions that submerge the characters.

You will then enjoy If you couldn’t see me, a solo danced facing away from the audience. Next is Anima Animus, where British choreographer David Dawson plays with contrasts between technical virtuosity and lyrical poetry. Finally, Imre and Marne van Opstal, from the Netherlands’ first ever stage show, Drift Wood. Contrasts promises to be a contemporary and innovative evening!

Un bal masqué, Opéra de Paris

Operas in 2025/2026

Gounod (Faust), Massenet (Manon, Werther) and Saint-Saëns (Samson et Dalila)... at Theatre in Paris, we’re very patriotic! Although, of course, opera is a traditionally Italian form, the Paris Opéra became so popular in the 19th century that many important composers decided to write in French - including Verdi’s iconic La Travatia.

However, if your French could use a brush-up, you wanted to see one of the many excellent Italian or even German operas, we’ve got you covered: all Opera de Paris shows are surtitled in French and English.

  • OUR TOP THREE OPERAS

  • Satyagraha, at the Opera Palais Garnier
  • (10 April – 3 May 2026)
  • Satyagraha is one of the major operas by Philip Glass, an iconic figure of minimalism. This hypnotic work traces Gandhi's youth in South Africa and his development of the non-violent philosophy of satyagraha. Written in Sanskrit and inspired by the Bhagavad-Gītā, the score unfolds in long musical loops where motifs gradually transform, creating a meditative and spiritual effect characteristic of Glass's style. Here, repetition is never stagnant: it becomes an incantation, a prayer, a commitment.
  • Sales opening on 28 May 2025.

  • Ercole amante at the Opéra Bastille
  • (28 – 14 June 2026)
  • What if the strongest of men were defeated not by war, but by love? Ercole amante by Antonia Bembo revisits the myth of Hercules caught in a love torment. As he returns victorious from his exploits, Hercules falls madly in love with Iole, a princess he had previously captured. Already married to Dejanira, he sets off a chain of jealousy, betrayal, and pain. Consumed by the fear of losing her husband, Dejanira offers Hercules a poisoned tunic, believing it will reignite his love—it will instead cause his death.
The opera explores human passions with intensity, blending domestic tragedy with heroic mythology.
  • Sales opening on 28 May 2025.

  • Les Noces de Figaro at the Opera Palais Garnier
  • (15 – 27 December 2025)
  • Les Noces de Figaro, a four-act opera by Mozart with a libretto by Da Ponte based on the theatre piece, Le Mariage de Figaro, by Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, is a comedy that is both light-hearted and deeply subversive. Thanks to Mozart’s music, every emotion—desire, jealousy, forgiveness—takes on a depth and tenderness that is both moving and precise. A masterpiece of balance between theatre and music.
  • Sales opening on 28 May 2025.

Concert, Opéra de Paris

Classical Concerts in 2025/2026

“Classical” is usually used to refer to the classical period (c. 1730–1820) that heralded such talents as Mozart. However, classical music has so much more to offer than that. The Opéra de Paris is a place where innovative and experimental productions continue to emerge, bridging the gap between past traditions and contemporary sensibilities. With performances in multiple languages and productions that explore a variety of themes and narratives, the Opéra de Paris ensures that classical music and opera remain vibrant and relevant to audiences today.
