Story: Boléro - Tribute to Maurice Ravel

Maurice Ravel's Boléro, an iconic piece in the history of music and dance, remains one of the most famous and most performed French works in the world.

Originally, when Ravel was planning a four-month concert tour of the United States and Canada, his friend and patron Ida Rubinstein asked him to write a "ballet of Spanish character.” Sensitive to the art of dance, Ravel chose the Bolero, a traditional Andalusian dance, as his inspiration and so this masterpiece was born.
Boléro - Tribute to Maurice Ravel, at the Palais des Congrès, is a fine way of showcasing the fusion between a music and dance leaving a lasting impression on the minds of youngsters and true dance connoisseurs alike.
