SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATION INTERN

JOB SUMMARY

Working hours: flexible working hours – full time 35h/week

Working with the marketing team, the intern will serve as community manager, responsible for the company pages across different social media accounts (mainly Facebook and Instagram), as well as headlining company relations with online referral channels including relevant bloggers, writers, journalists and influencers.

 

GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE INTERNSHIP

TheatreinParis.com is an award-winning French start-up company, serving as the only online ticketing platform in English bringing Parisian shows to international audiences (theatre plays, musicals, comedies, cabaret shows, operas, dance, jazz clubs, concerts). For the last 5 years, we have welcomed guests of more than 60 nationalities and counting.

To support the strong growth of our online sales (x10 over the last two years), we are looking for an enthusiastic individual interested in developing our international community of theatre-goers and grow our brand awareness, both through social media platforms and referral websites. This 6 months internship is an opportunity to work for a quickly growing start-up in central Paris with a highly international driven team where you can grow your skill set.

 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern, you will:

  • Manage both paid and unpaid publications across our social media channels, monitor performance across our social media platforms, mainly Facebook and Instagram
  • Work in collaboration with the content team to define the priorities on the publication calendar
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing partners (bloggers, media, influencers), and identify additional outlets and potential referral sources
  • Analyse marketing data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization

 

YOUR STUDIES & EXPERIENCE

Essential :

  • Current student in digital marketing, communications, public relations or related field (a ‘convention de stage’ will be required)
  • Language: native English required – good level of French desired
  • Previous experience managing social media accounts and paid campaigns (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Previous experience in public relations working with influencers, bloggers, journalists, etc
  • Strong editing and grammatical skills - writing samples welcome
  • Creative with a hands-on approach
  • Up-to-date with the latest social media and communication best practises and tools
  • Analytics oriented mindset, familiar with Google Analytics
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Team participation skills and willingness to work hard, learn and train
  • Passion for performing arts, culture and entertainment

 

Desirable :

  • Knowledge of Paris and French culture
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/InDesign
  • Previous experience in the tourism and/or ticketing industry would be a plus
