Unlike the rather dark nave, the Saint Symphorien chapel located in the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a work of luminous simplicity. It honors Saint Symphorien, a young martyr of the 2nd century, and Saint Germain, a slab of which commemorates the site where tradition places the first tomb. Rich in a strong and bloody history, it is today a very popular place of meditation.
A place of prayer sheltered from the crowds, an intimate place, a bloody history that saw refractory priests massacred in 1792... Today, a place where you can come and listen to concerts in an atmosphere peaceful and bright.
