March is a very busy month in Paris, with a whole collection of new and exciting options to choose from. The weather is starting to be a little warmer and the prospect of spring in Paris puts everyone, Parisians included, in a good mood. Sunday March 10
Each year runners from all over the world gather to run the Paris half-marathon. The lovely course takes runners from the center of the city, along the Seine riverbanks, and around the Bois de Vincennes before returning to the city center. Registrations are still open with limited spaces for anyone wanting to tackle the scenic Parisian route. If not, head outside and cheer on the participants! Details here
La Verticale - Eiffel Tower stair climb
Wednesday March 13
This March, 130 lucky participants will compete in the annual Eiffel Tower climb! The Eiffel Tower is a unique stair climb race because the entire structure is out in the open, perfect for spectators to see the runners take on every step. Last year, winners made the 300 metre climb to the top in just under 8 minutes, will the record be broken this year? Details here

A must-attend event in the European literary scene, Livre Paris is a creative literary event that invites big names of today's literacy and highlights tomorrow's authors and actors. Taking place at Paris’ largest exhibition center at the Porte de Versaille. Saut Hermès equestrian jumping competition at the Grand Palais
The tenth Saut Hermès au Grand Palais will take place on 22, 23 and 24 March, 2019. Over the three-day event, the world’s greatest riders will come together in the nave of the Grand Palais to take part in these CSI 5* show jumping trials organised by Hermès. Reserved for the best riders in the world, as well as rising stars under the age of 25, the Saut Hermès is also a meeting place for the horse-riding world, with a succession of unique events and a special equestrian show. Tutankhamun, the Treasure of the Pharaoh- an Egyptian exhibition at La Villette
Starting March 23 through September
A brand new exhibition begins in Paris this March, revealing the treasures of Egypt’s past. Featuring over 150 pieces and artifacts from one of the world’s greatest archeological discoveries, the tomb of Tutankhamun, some of which are leaving Egypt for the first time! This unique expo will be available for a few short months in Paris, before permanently settling in Cairo. Details
Garden Party at the Théâtre Antoine

A deliciously twisted mockery of the monsters of high society, all about champagne, botox, and the contemporary clowns of aristocracy; an aristo-punk frenzy as fantastical as it is thought-provoking! A hilariously poetic cocktail of opera, farce, and circus, this will be the first time this unique spectacle is performed indoors on a stage. Just how far will society's elite go to ignore the harsh realities of life?
This hilariously absurd show has no dialogue at all, and is easily understand and enjoyed by all audiences. Garden Party is playing every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening at the legendary Théâtre Antoine in the heart of the Paris theatre district.
Martial Arts Festival at Accor Arena

For those interested in the martial arts, or even for the curious at heart, this March marks the 34th annual Martial Arts Festival in Paris, at the Accor Hotels Arena. Each year, the grand masters of martial arts and combat sports from all over the world gather to reveal their secrets and demonstrate their ancient traditions and techniques. A unique event that is as much a performance as it is a combat!
