We’ve successfully come to the end of our eighth week of quarantine, and we’d like to thank the digital world of theatre for helping us through once more. Here we have a recap of this week’s gems:

Streaming

Shakespeare fans were spoilt for choice with regards to streaming options this week, starting with the Opera de Paris’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream ballet, available for streaming until May 10th- it’s certainly one you don’t want to miss.

If Shakespearian ballets satisfy your theatrical cravings, London’s Royal Ballet have made their production of The Winter’s Tale available for online streaming via their YouTube channel. This one will make you feel like you’re at the Royal Opera House in the flesh!

The Stratford Festival is also playing an active role in the online theatre scene, with their YouTube channel being regularly updated. Check out this week’s production of Macbeth.

Cirque du Soleil uploaded a 60 minute special to their YouTube channel – have a look at these scintillating acts.

Social media

Our friends over at the Crazy Horse Cabaret have been keeping us entertained all week via their Facebook page, head on over and have a chuckle for yourself.

Book tickets to see Crazy Horse in Paris!

Crazy Horse wasn’t the only cabaret offering us entertainment this week – the Lido de Paris’ Facebook page has been providing us with entertaining videos and dance classes to wash away the quarantine blues.

If the idea of taking a dance class has caught your attention, look no further! The Paris National Opera has posted an in-depth dance tutorial from dance professional Eleonora Abbagnato (and have even detailed all upcoming classes in the video description!).
