I’m an undergraduate at university in the UK, working for Theatre in Paris as part of my third year abroad. I arrived in Paris in September and I never want to leave.  It’s such a fun city to be young in, and there’s so much to do and see, it’s actually kind of overwhelming.

Even though I study politics, I’ve always been a theatre enthusiast. For me, theatre is so important because, like literature, it challenges our ideas about the world around us. As well as all the serious stuff, it can also just be great for some good ol’ laughter at the end of a long day.

My job at TIP consists of all sorts of things, and thanks to the fact we’re a small company, I get a lot of responsibility for an intern! I’ve been given the freedom to set up commercial meetings and I’m in charge of social media. This is teaching me so many tactics and tips, which I’m now applying to launching my own website with some friends. If one thing’s for sure, I’ve never felt like more of a millennial…

After my time at TIP, I can’t imagine ever working in a boring office. We share our building with three other startups, and the pingpong table, hammock and beanbags make it such a fun environment to spend every day in. The best thing, compared to the UK, is that everyone eats lunch together. I’ve never seen anyone eat a sandwich at their desk, even when they’re crazy busy, and this is something I’d like to take with me to any job I end up doing in the future!
